Companionship
At some point in all our lives we all are confronted with sorrow, fear, and disappointments or something harsh. Having a true companionship during those times could certainly prove beneficial to one’s Selfcare.
Same are true for those happy moments. Having that one person to share, support, and help can make all the difference. If all possible, seek out that one person who you feel can be of support to you. You may even find that this person may be in need of your companionship as well.

Having a companionship can make all the difference in how you view matters!
Home Work
Unfortunately, in todays world we have to be really careful of everything and everyone. Trusting a person’s word is not always a smart thing to do as it once was. Such as: Your Air-condition will not last throughout this summer. We are having a sale now I would suggest you purchase a new one. It would save you hundreds of dollars by not waiting. With this summer heat it will only place more strain on your old system.

That oil leak is not good. You will need to have that fixed right now or you will risk damaging your motor.
Do your homework, investigate, get a second or third opinion. By not doing your homework can bring on much stress, which no doubt can affect your Self care. In the end you will be proud of the fact those expenses were not needed at this time at all.
Life Crisis
We are living in times where there are so much violence, hatred, and struggles. We all must find a way to deal with this for our own Self Care. I would like to suggest starting by simply closing your eyes for a moment (if it’s safe to do so) and say, “less violence and more world peace”. You could be standing in line at a bank, waiting in a doctor’s office, or on an elevator at a hospital going to visit someone.

Make this a daily practice to say. Our words can be powerful especially in numbers. You will even find peace within yourselves for your part in helping to change the world.
Brain Puzzles
We all do it, young and old. You go into another room to get something. Even though it’s a short distance, once there you forget why or what you went there for. The older we get the more we seem to forget.

Don’t just let this happen without doing all you can to prevent it. There’s all sorts of word puzzles and word games to help keep the brain alert. Most stores that have magazines, also have word find puzzles. You are given a list of words to the side. In the middle of the page are groups of letters. Your goal is to find the word in the group of letters and circle it. You continue doing this till all the words in the words listed are found. It can be very challenging. You can find word puzzles from easy to very hard. There are number puzzles that work pretty much the same way. This will sure help to benefit the Self Care of our brain.
We simply have to find ways to improve our Self Care. Games such as these can be done in the comfort of your own home, sitting in your favorite chair. Try it!
Identity Theft
One thing for sure that can cause our Self Care to become unbalanced is to be hit with identity thief. This is happening more and more these days. It does not matter who you are; rich, poor, famous, man, woman or child it certainly can take its toll trying to correct this awful wrong placed upon you. No one is exempt from being targeted. The only thing anyone can do is to take necessary measures in case they becomes victim.

Be very careful of all your personal credit cards and receipts. Pay attention of those around you when making purchases. And if all possible join an identity theft organization that can be there for you should something happen. This is one worry you must, if all possible avoid. The anger and energy it will take to deal with such an ordeal will no doubt affect your Self Care.
Stress
Too often it’s the simple things we fail to watch out for. My goal here is to suggest and make you aware there’s so much you can to do to practice Self Care. Self Care has unlimited boundaries. Whether it’s nutrition, exercising, protecting yourself from harm, getting proper sleep, or keeping your mind alert. The lists are many. I would like to address some Self Care ideas you may find useful and beneficial in your daily life.
You may work a regular 40 work week, a stay home parent, a person who travels a great deal. Maybe you are a care-giver or just do what ever it takes to get by day to day, week to week. Chances are pretty high that you are dealing with some form of stress, most of us are. Dealing with stress will eventually cause medical issues unless we find a way to control it. There are things about stress we don’t even realize. It can take hold of us before we realize what has happened. Sure you can see other people stressing but, rarely we recognize when it’s happening to us.

Don’t wait for someone to point it out to you or you get to the point where you are out of control. And don’t think going to bed, you will sleep it off because usually upon awakening; you are right back where you was. Instead, on those days find you at least one hour for yourself. Go somewhere quiet, sit and just do some deep breathing. Or take a nice walk, enjoy the time alone. Exercise always helps, it boost your mood, a great stress reducer. Most times just talking with a good friend will help. Make this a weekly practice, you will soon find that heavy weight will get lighter.
